‘The Wool Parade’ is an installation designed by design studio Doshi Levien that combines Kvadrat textiles to highlight the unique qualities of wool. The Wool Parade consists of 12 upholstered objects, which are inspired by the avant-garde parties and architectural theatre costumes from early Bauhaus.
To accompany the presentation Graphic Thought Facility conceived this animated short film directed by Philip Hunt at Studio AKA. The film explores the possibilities of how the individual pieces might be given life to move and dance within a pre defined space. Studio Aka beautifully developed these shapes as living creatures – each given locomotion by the possibilities and restrictions inherent in it's own physical form. The film launched at the Kvadrat showroom as part of Stockholm Furniture Fair. The installation will tour other Kvadrat showrooms during the year.
